How it Works

Easy, reliable, affordable insurance billing and credentialing for Colorado therapists and counseling practices — including telehealth providers, LCSWs, LPCs, LMFTs, NPs, and psychologists.
Getting started is easier than you think

Most therapists put off dealing with insurance billing because it feels overwhelming. Here's what working with me actually looks like — no jargon, no surprises.

How Billing Works

  1. Reach out with a little background on your practice — how many therapists, your approximate caseload, and whether you're seeing clients in person, via telehealth, or both.

  2. I'll put together a custom quote. For most practices, I charge a flat minimum of $300/month or 4–8% of paid claims, whichever is higher — so you're never paying for claims that don't come through. I offer custom packages for larger practices — reach out for details.

  3. I'll create a limited-access account within your EHR (like SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, Sessions Health, or similar) so I can handle billing seamlessly without ever touching clinical notes.

  4. I'll take it from there — verifying insurance before sessions, determining copays, submitting claims, and following up on anything that gets rejected or denied.

How Credentialing Works

Getting credentialed with Colorado insurance panels is one of the most time-consuming parts of starting a private practice. Some of the main insurances I work with are:

  • Health First Colorado (Medicaid)

  • Colorado Access

  • Colorado Community Health Alliance (CCHA)

  • Rocky Mountain Health

  • Northeast Health partners

  • Carelon

  • Kaiser of Northern Colorado

  • United/Optum/UMR

  • BCBS of Colorado

  • Cigna

  • Aetna

  • And others

Here's how I simplify the process:

  1. Tell me where your practice stands today: do you currently take insurance? Which panels? Are you looking to add Colorado Medicaid?

  2. I'll send you a tailored questionnaire — just what I need, nothing extra.

  3. You'll review, approve, and sign the completed credentialing forms before anything is submitted.

  4. I track the applications and follow up with panels directly so you're not sitting on hold.

  5. Once you're approved, you're ready to start seeing insurance clients.
